Today is the first day that we are on the EZ-3 Price Plan with our local electric company. The plan goes like this..........we agree to use as little power as possible between the hours of 3pm and 6pm, Monday through Friday and in exchange, we receive a discounted rate the rest of the time. However, if we DO use any power during the "EZ-3", we pay a significantly higher rate. I, of course will be prepping all the meals in advance and beginning to cook dinner at 6:01pm. My plan is to turn everything off (except for the server and the refrigerators) at 3pm and quickly vacate the premises.
I had all of these imaginative ideas about what we would do every day at 3pm. We would pick Madison up from school (that's out, due to aforementioned break), head down to the library so she could do her homework, run errands, go to the park, etc. etc.
Day one of EZ-3 and I am at a loss for what to do! No errands needed, I think it will be too hot for the park and I don't want to go to the library because that will be used a lot in the near future! Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Please keep in mind that it should not cost any money, otherwise it will defeat the purpose!

Do you have an indoor mall close by? You guys could just walk the halls and window shop or something. At least they'll have A/C!
We ended up going to IKEA. They have free childcare for an hour in "Smaland". Me and Michael walked around for an hour holding hands. We actually went there for something specific but didn't find it. I did end up finding some cool plastic clothes pins though!
